On June 13, Da Nang Family Hospital announced that it had just treated Mr. Murtaza Hassan Bangash (58 years old), a Pakistani taekwondo referee.
Mr. Murtaza Hassan Bangash was in Da Nang to officiate the taekwondo tournament at The 2024 ASIAN taekwondo Championships. On the last day before returning home, the referee suddenly had severe left chest pain, pain radiating to the left shoulder, accompanied by difficulty breathing and sweating.
Thanks to the quick assistance from Vietnamese collaborators, Mr. Bangash was taken to Da Nang Family Hospital.
Here, he was diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction, on a background of hypertension and dyslipidemia.
An urgent consultation between the hospital, the Da Nang Department of Health and the Pakistani Embassy was conducted to find the optimal treatment plan.
After a week of intensive treatment, his health has recovered well and he is healthy enough to board a plane to return home.
