“Can Gio is the only district in Ho Chi Minh City with a coastline over 13km long and a complex network of rivers and canals; it boasts a mangrove ecosystem recognized by UNESCO as a world biosphere reserve. The Can Gio region has many attractions such as the Nghinh Ong Festival, Monkey Island, the Vam Sac forest, the Rung Sac revolutionary historical site, and especially the upcoming Saigon SunBay land reclamation tourism project, which will allow tourists to enjoy experiences, relaxation, sightseeing, and learning about the customs, traditions, and daily life of the local people.” This enticing introduction from the marketing staff of Can Gio Green Tourism Co., Ltd. intrigued many tourists, prompting them to register for tours to Can Gio to visit its historical sites and scenic spots. Not only Can Gio Green Tourism Co., Ltd., but many other travel agencies and tourism companies also invest carefully in promoting and introducing tourism products to visitors. With the theme "Colorful Summer" conveying the message "Enjoy Vietnamese Identity," through publications, documents, and films, the Vietravel booth attracted the attention of many visitors. Ms. Nguyen Nguyet Van Khanh, Marketing Director of Vietravel, said: "As a business specializing in tourism, we always prioritize promoting our brand, products, and tourist destinations both domestically and internationally. We must find the highlight and unique features of each destination to create an impression on visitors; otherwise, success is very difficult." To introduce and promote tourism, the company proactively researched and maintained close contact with partners in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities nationwide to obtain the latest information to provide to customers.

Tourist destinations such as the Cu Chi Tunnels (Cu Chi District), Suoi Tien (Thu Duc City), Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11), and Thien Thanh Water Park (Nha Be District) are also accelerating brand and image promotion to attract tourists; implementing many attractive promotional programs to stimulate tourism during the 2023 summer holidays and vacation. Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said: Tourism organizations and units in the city are continuously promoting products and brands, improving service quality to stimulate domestic tourism during this summer. The Department's leadership is creating favorable conditions for localities and businesses to access and introduce tourism products and services to tourists, especially city residents; and at the same time, widely promoting the image of Ho Chi Minh City – a "safe, attractive, and friendly" destination – to all tourists, contributing to the development of the tourism economy.

Linking to stimulate tourism

One of the goals set by Ho Chi Minh City is to facilitate collaboration among travel companies and tourism businesses to jointly develop tourism in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities. This goal has been embraced by the city's tourism businesses, who have concretized it in their business strategies to provide comprehensive tour packages, not only domestically but also internationally. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, many travel businesses are currently interested in domestic tourist areas; they proactively contact and exchange information with representatives of the management boards of tourist areas to connect and cooperate in business, both to best serve tourists and to bring practical benefits to both sides.

For localities, Ho Chi Minh City is also strengthening linkages, especially with provinces and cities that have strong tourism potential. Ho Chi Minh City has signed agreements with approximately 50 provinces and cities nationwide to implement tourism promotion programs. Recently, at the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, there was a space dedicated to "Colors of the Northwest." This is an opportunity for the Northwest provinces to promote and invite tourism businesses and travel companies to expand their reach and boost tourism. On this occasion, Ho Chi Minh City tourism companies are actively connecting with businesses and tourist areas in the Northwest to provide regional tourism products that are most convenient for tourists, creating momentum for the development of domestic tourism.

Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized: "With many specific and practical activities, Ho Chi Minh City is striving to stimulate tourism demand, link the development of new products, cooperate in state management, and promote the role of each tourism enterprise; at the same time, creating opportunities for businesses to explore the market, expand investment, and stimulate comprehensive tourism development to make tourism a key economic sector, contributing to the overall development of Ho Chi Minh City."
