The Da Nang City Department of Education and Training is currently soliciting feedback on the draft Resolution of the City People's Council regarding the approval of the Project for investment in the construction, upgrading, and expansion of school buildings and teaching and learning equipment for public kindergartens and primary and secondary schools in Da Nang City for the period 2026-2030.
The project focuses on using budget resources to build new, renovate, upgrade, and expand school buildings, and to purchase teaching equipment for public preschools and primary and secondary schools in the city.

The total estimated cost for implementation is approximately 20,735 billion VND, sourced from the state budget and other legally mobilized sources, if any. Of this, the estimated cost for new construction, renovation, and upgrading of school facilities is approximately 19,246 billion VND; and the estimated cost for equipment is approximately 1,489 billion VND.
According to the investment phasing plan, approximately 2,100 billion VND is expected to be allocated this year; approximately 7,200 billion VND in 2027; approximately 4,100 billion VND in 2028; approximately 4,100 billion VND in 2029; and approximately 3,100 billion VND in 2030.
The city aims to have at least 80% of general education institutions meet national standards for facilities by 2030; ensure the effective implementation of the 2018 General Education Program; essentially eliminate dilapidated and outdated classrooms; and meet the requirements for organizing two-session teaching per day. Special priority will be given to investment in densely populated areas, mountainous regions, and disadvantaged areas.
This school year, Da Nang has nearly 46,000 ninth-grade students, but the enrollment quota for tenth-grade public schools is only 38,690. Therefore, it is expected that more than 7,000 students will not be admitted to public schools.
