Da Nang invests 1,600 billion for La Son - Tuy Loan expressway connection

(NLDO) – The new route will complete the Southwest belt network, creating a strategic traffic axis connecting the High-Tech Park with the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued a Decision approving the project of the Road connecting the Western Belt Road to the La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway (behind the High-Tech Park) with a total investment of more than 1,600 billion VND.

The new route will connect the Western Ring Road to the La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway in Da Nang.

The project is implemented in Ba Na commune and Lien Chieu ward, with implementation period from 2025 to 2028.

Specifically, the route starts at the intersection with the Western Belt Road (WRB) in Ba Na commune; the end point intersects with the Hai Van - Tuy Loan tunnel's southern branch line (in Lien Chieu ward, Da Nang city).

Construction investment scale includes: urban main road according to QCVN 07-4:2023/BXD, design speed V = 60 km/h; high-grade road surface A1; axle design load 100 kN, project on route HL93.

The investment in the construction of this route will contribute to completing the main traffic network according to the general planning project of Da Nang city until 2030, with a vision to 2045; at the same time, completing the high-quality belt route in the South and West of the city, serving the travel needs within the inner city, inter-urban areas and connecting key economic zones of Da Nang.

The project also helps promote the effectiveness of investment in key projects, connecting the Concentrated Information Technology Park, High-Tech Park, Hoa Ninh Industrial Park... with the main traffic axes of the city, meeting future transportation needs, especially transporting goods from Lien Chieu Port to the South, West of the city and vice versa.

In addition, the project will form a National Highway 1 bypass through the inner city area, replacing the South Hai Van Tunnel bypass (Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan section) which has been upgraded and expanded into a highway; thereby contributing to reducing the load on central traffic axes, especially during rush hours, and minimizing traffic accidents.
