Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on the afternoon of August 30, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoi An Tay Ward (Da Nang City) Bui Van Dung said he had just signed a decision to announce the operation of Thanh Ha pottery village tourist wharf - the most popular craft village tourist destination in Da Nang City.
The tourist wharf is located at Km1+600 of the second branch of the Thu Bon River, on the left bank of Hoi An Tay Ward. The owner is the Public Service Supply Center of Hoi An Tay Ward.
The wharf belongs to the group of level 3 wharves, with a design area of 76.5m2 , including a wharf for ships and boats, access roads, waiting rooms, management houses and auxiliary items, and is allowed to receive vehicles with a draft of 0.56m, carrying 40 passengers.
According to the chairman of Hoi An Tay ward, the opening of the wharf is a great effort by the government to diversify the source of visitors, is expected by the people and will contribute to increasing the income of the pottery village community.
"Previously, boats still docked to visit the craft village, but due to spontaneity and lack of safety, the government requested an end. Recently, the ward and other units have promoted procedures and invested in the port to announce the operation of this water port," said Mr. Dung.

On September 2, Thanh Ha pottery village will hold a ceremony to commemorate the founder of the pottery profession with many large-scale activities.
Thanh Ha Pottery Village is the oldest craft village in Da Nang City, with a history of over 500 years. Located next to the Thu Bon River, not far from Hoi An Ancient Town, the Hoi An government previously planned and turned the pottery village into a tourist attraction to attract 300,000 - 400,000 visitors each year.
At its peak, in 2019, the number of visitors to the pottery village reached a record of 650,000, with revenue reaching tens of billions of VND. This is also a successful model of a craft village that preserves and promotes cultural values, attracting the most visitors among the craft villages in Da Nang.

On August 30, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City said that with a series of events serving visitors for entertainment and sightseeing on the occasion of September 2 held throughout the city, the total number of tourists coming to Da Nang is expected to increase compared to 2024, with an average room occupancy rate estimated at 55 - 60%.
From August 29 to September 2, Da Nang airport will receive 730 flights, an average frequency of 146 flights/day (an increase of 25.9% compared to the same period in 2024). The total number of flights to Chu Lai airport is 34.
Some tourist areas and destinations expected to welcome a large number of visitors during the 4-day holiday are Sun World Ba Na Hills, Nui Than Tai hot spring park, Mikazuki, 365 VinWonders Nam Hoi An water park, Hoi An ancient town...
Hotels along Vo Nguyen Giap beach, An Hai ward and Ngu Hanh Son ward, Hoi An area have started to decorate and hang red flags with yellow stars. Many 3-5 star hotels organize events and promotions for guests staying during the holiday.
