Con Dao Special Zone prepares carefully for the opening ceremony of the new school year

In the 2025-2026 school year, Vo Thi Sau High School (Con Dao Special Zone, Ho Chi Minh City) organized the opening ceremony in a new way, ensuring compactness, meaning and safety.

According to Mr. Le Dinh Tuyen, Vice Principal of the school, instead of gathering all students in the school yard like every year, this year each class will send 6-8 students to attend directly in the hall.

All remaining students will sit in class, watching the opening ceremony on a screen fully equipped with projectors and connection devices. This method not only creates solemnity but also helps students experience the general opening ceremony atmosphere within the classroom.

Vo Thi Sau High School currently has 379 students, with 11 classes. Grade 10 has 4 classes, grade 11 has 4 classes and grade 12 has 3 classes.

On the occasion of the opening ceremony, the school will award 50 scholarships sponsored by businesses. Of which, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Electricity (Con Dao Electricity) will award 20 scholarships (each worth 10 million VND), Agribank will support 10 scholarships (each worth 500,000 VND) and VietinBank will award 10 scholarships (each worth 500,000 VND).

In particular, the opening ceremony was also associated with a fundraising campaign to support the people of the Central region affected by storms No. 4 and No. 5.

The school does not accept congratulatory flowers to focus on practical activities, spreading the spirit of sharing right from the first day of the new school year.

Over the years, Vo Thi Sau High School has always focused on innovating the way it organizes educational activities, combining creativity with community responsibility. The application of a combined in-person and online opening ceremony this year shows the school's initiative and flexibility in keeping up with the general trend.

This is not only a suitable approach to the actual conditions in Con Dao, but also demonstrates the determination to accompany the innovation orientation of the education sector, creating motivation for students to confidently enter the new school year.

Sharing the excitement in the atmosphere welcoming the new school year in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Le Thi Ly Kho, a teacher at Dong Khoi Secondary School (Phu Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), shared: “Students are very excited because this is no longer a familiar ceremony in the schoolyard, but an event where millions of students share the joy. They feel cared for and accompanied, which gives them more motivation to study.”

To make the ceremony solemn, the school made a detailed plan and coordinated with the Union to assign specific tasks to each department.

The transmission system, sound and image are checked many times; LED screens are prepared to create a lively space, helping students to follow visually.

The school also organizes training for homeroom teachers to guide students to participate properly, and at the same time sends information to parents for coordination.

“Not only technical preparation, it is important to help students realize that this is a meaningful national event and each student is an important part of it,” emphasized the school board representative.
