Academy of Finance opens and launches competition for the 2025-2026 school year

In accordance with the Academy's training plan for the 2025-2026 academic year; and Circular No. 4746/BGDĐT-VP dated August 13th from the Ministry of Education and Training regarding the organization of the Opening Ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year in conjunction with the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training), the Academy of Finance successfully held its opening ceremony for the new academic year 2025-2026 on the morning of September 5th.

The Ministry of Education and Training's live broadcast from the My Dinh National Convention Center was attended by Meritorious Teacher, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung - Director of the Academy of Finance; People's Teacher, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Trong Co - former Party Secretary and former Director of the Academy; and People's Teacher, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Dan - former Head of the Faculty of Economics and concurrently Head of the Economics Department of the Academy of Finance.

At the meeting point located at 58 Le Van Hien Street, Dong Ngac Ward ( Hanoi ), attendees included Dr. Nguyen Van Binh – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council of the Academy of Finance; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Thieu – Deputy Director, Chairman of the Trade Union of the Academy; Meritorious Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Thi Thuy – Former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, former Deputy Director of the Academy, along with faculty members from the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the School Council, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union, leaders of faculties, departments, and organizations within the Academy, and student classes.

To demonstrate practical actions in emulation to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Finance Sector's traditional day and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Education and Training, and to resolutely fulfill the political tasks of the entire Academy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Thieu - Vice Director and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Academy of Finance, launched the emulation movement for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Responding to President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation with the viewpoint: "Emulation is patriotism, and patriotism requires emulation. And those who emulate are the most patriotic." Imbued with this ideology, for the past 77 years, under the leadership of the Party and beloved Uncle Ho, our nation's revolutionary movement has achieved glorious and great victories.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Manh Thieu emphasized that the new academic year 2025-2026 begins in the context of the whole country thoroughly and effectively implementing the solutions to deploy Resolution 71 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development; and Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation in the context of international integration.

On behalf of the leadership of the Academy of Finance, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Manh Thieu officially launched the emulation movement for the 2025-2026 academic year with the theme "Unity, discipline, innovation, creativity, and development".

Continuing to uphold and promote the tradition of unity; striving to excellently fulfill political tasks in all areas of work; and effectively carrying out training and scientific research with practical applications, the Academy of Finance will effectively implement Resolution 71 of the Politburo in the coming period.

At the same time, ensure a reasonable training scale, focus human resources on further improving training quality; promote digital transformation, actively apply information technology to teaching, research and management; implement online learning systems, use big data and artificial intelligence (AI) in university management to gradually bring the Academy to the standard of a smart, advanced and modern university.

Effectively carry out the work of building the unit; build a clean and strong Party, Trade Union, and Youth Union. Develop new factors, exemplary advanced models, people who are truly learned, truly working, and truly living. Organize practical emulation movements, cultural and artistic activities, and sports to celebrate major national and industry holidays.

"In particular, the emulation campaign must be closely linked with the reward system, ensuring fairness, openness, and transparency in evaluating civil servants based on their assigned work results. Strengthen guidance and supervision to improve the quality and effectiveness of emulation campaigns," Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Manh Thieu requested.
