Some universities accept both IELTS scores of 4.0 and 4.5, such as the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture , Hanoi Metropolitan University, Phenikaa University, Hung Yen University of Technology and Education, and Phan Chau Trinh University. However, a 4.0 score is only equivalent to 5 points at Van Lang University; and 6 points at Nha Trang University, the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, and Hung Yen University of Technology and Education.
At most universities, IELTS scores from 7.0 to 9.0 are converted to a 10. However, some universities such as the National Economics University, the Diplomatic Academy, the Banking Academy, the University of Science (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), the University of Industry and Trade Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, etc., only convert IELTS scores of 8.0-9.0 to a 10.
The University of Commerce is one of the rare universities that converts all IELTS levels from 5.0 to 9.0 into a 10-point system.
