The program, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with the Office of the President, aims to honor and commend the achievements of students in the 2025 International Olympiads and Science and Technology Competitions.
In 2025, Vietnam had 7 delegations participating in international and regional Olympiads, with a total of 37 students. The Vietnamese student delegations brought home outstanding achievements, with all contestants winning awards: 13 Gold Medals, 16 Silver Medals, and 8 Bronze Medals. This represents an increase of 1 Gold Medal and 1 Silver Medal compared to 2024, affirming the strong progress in the quality of advanced education .

In implementing Resolution No. 57 (dated December 22, 2024) of the Politburo on breakthroughs in national science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, the Ministry of Education and Training, in coordination with relevant units, selected and formed the national team to participate in the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad. As a result, all 8/8 students won awards, including 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 3 bronze medals, and 1 certificate of merit, ranking 4th out of 60 participating countries.
Notably, 2025 marks a milestone as the Vietnamese delegation won two Second Prizes, one Third Prize, three Fourth Prizes, and four Special Prizes from sponsors at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) held in the United States. This is the highest award Vietnamese students have won in 13 years since the national-level Science and Engineering Fair was first held nationwide and Vietnam has participated in the international Science and Engineering Fair from 2013 to the present.
The outstanding results in the 2025 regional and international Olympiads and Science and Technology competitions once again demonstrate that the Ministry of Education and Training has correctly identified the direction on the path of fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training. This also has a significant impact on teachers, students, and society as a whole in the effort to achieve the goal of training and nurturing talent for the country.
At the ceremony, 19 students were honored with the Labor Medal and 5 students received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister.
