PhD candidate Nguyen Van Huong defended his thesis "Research on the influence of some structural parameters of artillery shell guide belts on the belt cutting process during firing." Lieutenant General Le Minh Thai – Director of the Academy – emphasized that the milestone of 600 PhDs is vivid evidence of the Academy's position as a training ground for high-quality military scientists and a leading research center of the Army and the entire country.
According to Lieutenant General Le Minh Thai, the first doctoral candidate to successfully defend a state-level associate doctoral dissertation at the Academy was Comrade Nguyen Thuan (Class 3) on August 3, 1983. This marked a milestone demonstrating the feasibility of the domestic doctoral training model.
Since 2011, when the Academy was granted autonomy in doctoral training, the scale and quality of training have continuously improved. After reaching milestones of 100 (2006), 200 (2011), 300 (2015), 400 (2018), and 500 (2021), the Academy has successfully trained 600 doctoral graduates to date.

Having undergone nearly 60 years of construction and development, including 46 years of doctoral training, the Academy currently leads the training in 16 doctoral programs. This is not only an achievement in terms of quantity but also demonstrates a qualitative leap in training and scientific research.
The team of military PhDs led by Military Technical Academy Training has been and continues to be the core force in mastering modern technology; directly participating in the research, design, manufacturing, and exploitation of complex weapons and technical equipment throughout the military. Therefore, the Academy continues to affirm its position as one of the leading doctoral training institutions in the field of science, technology, and engineering in the country.
According to the Academy's leadership, the achievement of producing 600 PhDs is thanks to the attention and support of leaders at all levels and the collaboration of the scientific team. In the coming time, the Academy will focus on innovating training programs, opening new key disciplines, strengthening international cooperation; linking training with research and international publications; promoting digital transformation; and enhancing facilities and learning materials.

With its educational philosophy of "Courage - Intelligence - Professionalism - Cooperation," the Military Technical Academy aims to continue maintaining its position as a leading center for training and scientific and technical research, contributing to the building of a modern army and the industrialization and modernization of the country.
