Highlights of the 20th Golden Bell Gala

On the evening of August 31, at Nguyen Hue walking street (intersection with Huynh Thuc Khang street, Saigon ward, Ho Chi Minh City), the Organizing Committee for the celebration of major holidays of the City in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Television organized the 20th Golden Bell Gala program - 2025.

Attending the program were comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Tran The Thuan, City Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City; Dinh Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; representatives of leaders of city departments, agencies, businesses, a large number of people and international tourists.

The year 2025 marks many important political and cultural events of the country. This year is also the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, brilliant milestones in the glorious history of the nation.

In that proud and sacred atmosphere, the 20th Golden Bell Gala in 2025 is organized not only as an art program, but also as a cultural identity, a deep gratitude to the history and tradition of the nation.

The gala night was invested in a large-scale, grand and splendid staging, creating a beautiful mark to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City Television organizing the traditional stage talent contest.

The program features performances by more than 100 artists, actors, musicians of reformed theater, singers, dancers, and 9 talented and capable contestants who have passed the Selection Round to prepare for the final ranking rounds, which will perform in September 2025.

The gala night brought to the audience a series of special performances. During the gala night, due to technical reasons, the stage lost power for more than 20 minutes, however, the entire audience still sat and waited in order and the organizers tried their best to handle the problem. Immediately after the stage was lit up again, the art performances continued to show their brilliance and grandeur, giving the audience interesting moments of enjoying art.

Closing the gala night, the 20th Golden Bell of Traditional Opera Competition - 2025 organized by Ho Chi Minh City Television will continue to make preparations for the Cai Luong stage talent competition to enter the most exciting and attractive round that is most anticipated by audiences who love Cai Luong and Don Ca Tai Tu art: The final round of the Golden Bell of Traditional Opera with 9 talented contestants will compete at 9 p.m. every Sunday evening in September 2025. The competition nights will be broadcast on HTV9 and HTV's digital platforms.
