Benchmarks forecast to increase slightly
Candidates nationwide are in the process of registering their wishes for admission to universities and colleges in preschooleducation on the admission support system of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Deadline for registration is 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2024.
To support candidates in making the most appropriate decision on their wishes, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has predicted the benchmark scores for 64 training programs enrolling in 2024 as follows:
In 2024, the training program of Hanoi University of Science and Technology has the highest predicted benchmark score in the field of Information Technology with majors: Computer Science (IT1), Computer Engineering (IT2) and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IT-E10).
In the context of Vietnam promoting the digital transformation process, applying information technology and communication to the process of industrialization and modernization of the country, the demand for human resources in the Information Technology industry is increasing, so the demand for labor is large.
The predicted benchmark scores of this group of majors have always been among the highest of Hanoi University of Science and Technology in recent years.
Also according to the forecast table, the lowest benchmark score based on the high school graduation exam results ranges from 20 to 22.75 points. The majors in this group are Environmental Engineering (EV1), Natural Resources and Environment Management (EV2), Materials Science and Engineering (MS-E3), and Textile Technology (TX1).
The 2024 forecast for these industries is up slightly from the 2023 forecast by 0.75 points.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology notes that the predicted benchmark scores are for reference only and to support candidates in the process of registering for admission to Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
The threshold to ensure admission quality based on high school exam scores is 20 points.
For the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores, the minimum admission score that can be registered on the Ministry of Education and Training's System is 20 points on a 30-point scale.
For the admission method based on the Thinking Assessment (TSA) test score, the minimum admission score threshold is 50 points on a 100-point scale.
The above admission score threshold applies to all training programs of Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The method of calculating admission scores according to each type of score is described as follows:
Score based on high school graduation exam score = Score based on combination + Priority score (if any)
Score based on thinking assessment score = TSA score + Priority points (converted to 100 scale) + Bonus points (if any)
In 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will recruit 9,260 students using 3 methods: Talent selection (~20%); Selection based on the results of the thinking assessment test (~30%); Selection based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores (~50%).
