Previously, according to the reflection of many students of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, during 2 weeks of studying national defense and securityeducation , the cafeteria staff collected leftover rice and soup, mixed them, poured them into trays, containers, and pots, and continued to divide them for the units that came to eat later...
At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Huynh Dang Chinh - Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that the act of the catering unit adding leftover soup to the meals of students who arrived later was unacceptable. Hanoi University of Science and Technology took responsibility and will strictly handle the individuals who caused the incident.
Regarding providing meals for students, Hanoi University of Science and Technology currently has 2 private units bidding for the kitchen: A15 Kitchen and the staff canteen.
After the feedback, Hanoi University of Science and Technology requested that the A15 kitchen stop operating. In addition, the staff canteen will temporarily provide meals for students studying National Defense and Security Education while looking for a replacement unit.
"We recognize the direct role and responsibility of the leadership in allowing this to happen," said the Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
However, according to Associate Professor Dr. Huynh Dang Chinh, students' reflections on "leftover rice" are not really correct.
Accordingly, this originated from the fact that students eat at tables, food is divided into trays, each table will have a bowl of rice and students will take rice into the tray according to their eating needs. At some tables, female students have poor appetites, so the remaining communal bowl of rice will be gathered together to avoid waste.
Associate Professor Dr. Huynh Dang Chinh also emphasized: We will learn from experience and require the cafeteria to put rice in thermal containers, students will move to and take rice to the tray according to their eating needs..."
In addition, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has directed teachers of National Defense and Security Education to directly eat with students. At the same time, in the student housing area, there are QR codes for students to directly report the quality of meals and activities to the student affairs office...
This will help the school promptly grasp and process information, ensuring students' meals are safe and of good quality.
