According to the announcement on September 15 of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, all three exam sessions will take place on weekends, each session will have 3-4 groups at 30 exam locations, accommodating about 60,000 exam takers.
The specific exam schedule is as follows:
Phase 1: Exam date 24-25/1/2026. Registration date: From 5-15/12/2025
Round 2: Exam date 14-15/3/2026. Registration date: From 5-15/2/2026
Phase 3: Exam date 16-17/5/2026. Registration date: From 5-15/4/2026.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that it will maintain the same exam structure as in 2025 with three parts: Mathematical Thinking (60 minutes), Reading Comprehension (30 minutes) and Scientific Thinking/Problem Solving (60 minutes). The questions focus on assessing the candidates' thinking ability, not directly testing knowledge of any subject, with a total score of 100.
Along with the exam schedule, Hanoi University of Science and Technology also launched the TSA Thinking Assessment Exam Handbook to help candidates better understand the structure and content of the TSA Exam, get familiar with question types, review instructions, test-taking methods, and analyze illustrative examples.
In each part of the exam, the Handbook also presents a summary of related background knowledge, introduces sample exam questions with analysis and solution instructions, review instructions by topic and some additional practice questions with answers. Finally, there is the content of instructions on using the exam software, especially the book comes with 02 exam codes so that candidates can experience 2 mock tests directly on the system. The results of the 2 mock tests will be an important basis for candidates to self-assess their current thinking ability, thereby having the most suitable study plan and exam participation roadmap.

In 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will also organize three rounds of TSA exams in Hanoi, Hung Yen, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, and Da Nang . The exam has more than 28,000 candidates with nearly 57,000 exams. TSA results are used by more than 50 universities for admission.
