On January 3, National Economics University officially issued the 2025 regular university enrollment plan.
Accordingly, in 2025, National Economics University plans to enroll 73 majors/programs with 89 training programs.
Admission quotas for each major, program/group of majors; according to each admission method and training level in 2025 will be announced later by the National Economics University.
National Economics University recruits 4 groups
In 2025, National Economics University will enroll students according to three main admission methods, including direct admission, admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, and combined admission.
In which, the direct admission method applies to candidates who won first, second, and third prizes in national and international excellent student selection exams organized and sent to participate by the Ministry of Education and Training ; the time of winning the prize is not more than 3 years from the time of direct admission and graduating from high school in 2025 will be considered for direct admission to the major the candidate registered for according to the allocation quota of the National Economics University.
Candidates who win first prizes in national and international science and technology competitions organized and sent to participate by the Ministry of Education and Training ; the time of winning the prize is not more than 3 years from the time of direct admission and graduation from high school in 2025 will be considered for direct admission to majors according to the list announced by the National Economics University.
With the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam , the National Economics University uses 4 groups, including A00 (math, physics, chemistry), A01 (math, physics, English), D01 (math, literature, English), D07 (math, chemistry, English) and there is no difference in admission scores between the admission groups.
Thus, in 2025, the National Economics University will stop 5 admission combinations compared to 2024, including B00 (math, chemistry, biology), C03 (math, literature, history), C04 (literature, math, geography), D09 (math, history, English), D10 (math, geography, English).
The combined admission method applies to all admission codes in 2025 and to the following groups of candidates:
Group 1: includes candidates with international SAT or ACT certificates.
To be eligible for admission, candidates must have an SAT score of 1,200 or higher or an ACT score of 26 or higher within 2 years from June 1, 2025.
Note, when taking the SAT or ACT, candidates need to register the National Economics University code with the testing organization. SAT is 7793-National Economics University and ACT is 1767-National Economics University. If candidates have taken the test but have not registered the National Economics University code, they need to re-register with the testing organization.
Group 2: includes candidates with the aptitude test score (HSA) of Hanoi National University or (APT) of Ho Chi Minh City National University or with the thinking test score (TSA) of Hanoi University of Science and Technology or candidates with an international English certificate (CCTAQT) combined with one of the above HSA/APT/TSA test scores.
Conditions for receiving application documents: candidates must have HSA score of 85 points or higher, APT score of 700 points or higher, or TSA score of 60 points or higher; or candidates must have CCTAQT score of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 46 or TOEIC (4 skills: L&R 785, S 160 &W 150) or higher combined with the above HSA/APT/TSA scores;
The above HSA/APT/TSA and CCTAQT test scores must be obtained within 2 years of June 1, 2025.
Group 3 includes candidates with international English certificates combined with high school graduation exam scores in 2025.
Conditions for receiving application documents: Candidates must have an international English certificate within 2 years from June 1, 2025, achieving IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 46 or TOEIC (4 skills: L&R 785, S 160, W 150) or higher and have a high school graduation exam score in 2025 in math and 1 subject other than English in the university admission groups.
Note: The combined admission method does not consider all certificates with the "home edition" exam format.
National Economics University converts international English certificates
Graduates must have IELTS at least 5.5
For the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the expected entrance threshold is 20 points including priority points. The National Economics University will announce specifically after the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam are available.
For the combined admission method, the entry threshold is the application submission condition of each subject in each combined admission group.
Also in the enrollment plan, the National Economics University announced the foreign language output standards for students to graduate with the standard regular program (studying in Vietnamese) must have IELTS from 5.5, advanced program from 6.5.
