Hanoi National University increases enrollment quota by more than 2,000

This year, Hanoi National University will enroll more than 20,285 full-time university students for 12 member schools, an increase of 2,285 students compared to last year.

Of which, the University of Technology was assigned the largest enrollment target with 3,900 (an increase of 940). Next is the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with 2,650 (an increase of 350); the University of Economics with 2,500 (an increase of 150) and the University of Foreign Languages with 2,400 (an increase of 400).

In addition, Hanoi National University also assigned 1,500 enrollment quotas for the work-study program and 810 dual degree quotas to a number of training institutions.

Last year, Hanoi National University used 4 main admission methods, including: direct admission, priority admission for students with high academic achievements; based on high school graduation exam scores; based on the capacity assessment test scores organized by Hanoi National University (minimum 80/150 points or higher); other methods (capacity assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University, international certificates, interviews, aptitude tests...).

The minimum score for admission based on high school graduation exam scores of Hanoi National University in 2024 is 20 points for all combinations.

Recently, the first round of the 2025 competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University took place from March 15-16 at 8 testing locations. Preliminary statistics show that the highest score of this exam was 126/150. It is predicted that the average score of this year's competency assessment exam will be higher than previous years, because candidates can choose the third part of the exam to promote their personal abilities and strengths.

The next round of exams will take place from March 29-30 in Hanoi, Hai Duong , Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, and Ha Tinh. Nearly 20,000 candidates have registered to take the exam.

The 2025 Competency Assessment Exam of Hanoi National University attracted more than 90,000 candidates, organized into 6 rounds, with more than 100 universities using the results for admission.
