On the morning of February 9th, the Vietnam Folk Arts Association branch in the province held its General Assembly for the 2025-2030 term. Attending the event were Professor, Dr. Le Hong Ly, President of the Vietnam Folk Arts Association; and Mr. Pham Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The Thai Binh branch of the Vietnam Folk Arts Association has a total of 6 members, with professional qualifications including 2 PhDs, 2 Master's degrees, and 2 Bachelor's degrees. Over the years, the branch has actively collected and researched local folk arts, contributing to affirming the unique values of the land and people of Thai Binh and demonstrating its indispensable role in preserving and promoting local cultural identity, contributing to the diversity and richness of national cultural identity. During the 2020-2025 term, the branch collaborated on completing books and book sets: "Typical Intangible Cultural Heritage of Thai Binh Province," "Thai Binh Dictionary" (2 volumes, each over 1,000 pages), "Thai Binh Gazetteer"; developed an outline for writing about village culture; and completed the manuscript "Ancient and Modern Literary Authors in Thai Binh"... Branch members have actively researched and advised on the creation of dossiers for Cheo (traditional Vietnamese opera) art and the cultural figure Le Quy Don. He has conducted a scientific research project titled "Collecting, researching, preserving, and promoting the value of Han Nom heritage at two special national historical sites in Thai Binh province"; written inscriptions introducing temples and pagodas; and research papers and specialized topics for local education materials in Thai Binh for grades 8 and 9…

Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech at the congress.

Speaking at the congress, Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed his hope that the members of the branch association would build upon their dedication and achievements in researching and collecting folk art; pay attention to investing in research on cultural figures of Thai Binh; and continue to unite and work together to fulfill their tasks. The branch association should encourage the active participation of collaborators, creating resources for membership development, thereby contributing to promoting the strength of traditional culture in contemporary society.
