Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City Le Van Trung acknowledged and commended the positive contributions of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese in the past term, especially in strengthening the great solidarity bloc of Vietnamese people at home and abroad.
Mr. Le Van Trung expressed his gratitude when the Congress had the presence of delegates who are overseas Vietnamese who have made many contributions to social security, attracting investment, and have been commended and rewarded by the city and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, such as Ms. Cecile Le Pham (Le Thi Thai Thanh, overseas Vietnamese in France), Chairwoman and General Director of Dacotex Da Nang Company Limited, Vice Chairman of ASSORV Organization; Mr. Bao Hoa (overseas Vietnamese in the US), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vinatech Connect Company Limited...
Affirming that in the coming time, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city will continue to support and create conditions for the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese to promote its effectiveness and strength, Mr. Le Van Trung suggested that the Standing Committee of the Association, Term V, continue to implement Conclusion No. 12-KL/TW (dated August 12, 2021) of the Politburo "On work with overseas Vietnamese in the new situation".
Through that, the Association continues to promote its role as a bridge between compatriots in the country and overseas Vietnamese, creating favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to grasp information about the situation in the country and Da Nang city, the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; always maintaining close relationships with family and homeland, contributing to the development of Da Nang.
The Congress unanimously approved the direction and tasks of the City Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese for the 2024-2029 term and elected the 5th Executive Committee of 31 members in the spirit of ensuring representativeness, practicality, and connections with Vietnamese people living and working abroad.
Ms. Cecile Le Pham (Le Thi Thai Thanh, overseas Vietnamese in France), Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Dacotex Da Nang Company Limited, Vice President of ASSORV Organization, was elected as Chairwoman of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, term V, 2024 - 2029.
The Vice Chairmen include: Ms. Tran Thi Man (Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, Vice Chairwoman of the 4th term); Ms. Nguyen Thuy Anh (Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang City, Vice Chairwoman of the 4th term); Mr. Phan The Tap (relative of Vietnamese people living abroad, Vice Chairwoman of the 4th term); Mr. Bao Hoa (overseas Vietnamese in the US, Vice Chairwoman of the 4th term); Mr. Tran Viet Dung (former Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, Vice Chairwoman of the 4th term).
