The 1st Congress of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dien Bien province, term 2025 - 2030

On the morning of October 21, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dien Bien province held the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025-2030.

Delegates voted to approve the Congress agenda.

At the Congress, delegates reached a high consensus on the direction of activities of the Union of Friendship Organizations for the first term, 2025-2030. The direction emphasized raising awareness throughout the political system about the importance of people's foreign affairs; innovating the content and methods of operation; promoting the application of digital technology, modern communications and closely linking with the goals of socio-economic development and protecting national border sovereignty.

Speaking at the Congress, Standing Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Pham Duc Toan and Vice Chairman of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Ngoc Hung both affirmed: The establishment of Dien Bien Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations is a proactive step, demonstrating the strategic vision of Dien Bien province in promoting the combined strength to serve the development and protect national border sovereignty . The Executive Committee of the first term soon stabilized the organization, built a specific action program; innovated the method of operation in a flexible and effective direction; strengthened international cooperation and promoted the image of Dien Bien, making practical contributions to the sustainable development of the province.

Comrade Pham Duc Toan, Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee, presented the decision to establish the Dien Bien Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations.

At the Congress, the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations presented the personnel plan for the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and Inspection Committee. Of which, the Executive Committee of the Union of Friendship Organizations, term I, consisting of 29 comrades, elected at the Congress 28 comrades (1 comrade was absent); elected the Standing Committee 8 comrades and the Inspection Committee 3 comrades.

Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial Journalists Association Pham Ngoc Han was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations for the 2025-2030 term.
