On the evening of June 7, at Kien Trung Palace in the Hue Imperial City, Thua Thien - Hue province, the opening ceremony of the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 took place.
The opening program was elaborately staged with the support of modern technology. The performances on stage will demonstrate the sustainable development of Hue city with the aspiration of “Bright for thousands of years” as well as proactive integration with the four directions for mutual development.
All heritages are illuminated through the staging combining laser projection, led matrix, hologram, 3D mapping on the semi-realistic art stage at Kien Trung Palace.
The performances on stage will show Hue City is "Brightening the heritage land" with sustainable development, respecting nature, friendliness and peace; Praising the land of "The magical ancient capital"; A place with a long tradition of "Converging the tones" of regions at home and abroad; Honoring a green city with sustainable development with the aspiration of "Brightening forever"; For Hue to truly be the Festival city of Asia, shining with Vietnam to welcome a bright future.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province emphasized that following the success of the previous Hue Festival, this year's Hue Festival Week with the theme "Cultural heritage with integration and development" will continue to spread the spirit of community.
In addition to the programs in Hue Imperial City, the organizers designed many open programs, street festivals, and community stages for international art troupes to perform for the people.
At the same time, many cultural and artistic activities are also organized in some localities in the province so that people and tourists can not only immerse themselves in the festival atmosphere, but also blend in with the sounds and lights of unique art programs.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province said that the program contributes significantly to the successful implementation of Resolution 54-NQ/TW of the Politburo with the goal that by 2025, Thua Thien-Hue will become a centrally-run city on the basis of preserving and promoting the value of the ancient capital's heritage and Hue's cultural identity.
Hue Festival is a place where many ethnic groups in the world demonstrate their unique cultural beauty, helping to promote cooperation and friendship, and together build a peaceful and prosperous world on the foundation of diverse cultures.
Hue Festival thus contributes to promoting tourism, economic and social development, and vividly demonstrates Vietnam's cultural traditions, respect for culture and comprehensive and deep international integration.
