Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam offers flowers at Kim Lien Special National Monument

On the morning of December 4, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam Choi Youngsam and members of the Embassy's delegation visited and offered flowers and incense at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site. The delegation expressed their respect to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of the Vietnamese people, who devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation of the Vietnamese people, tirelessly striving for peace and progress in the world, and was honored by UNESCO as a Hero of National Liberation and an Outstanding Cultural Celebrity.

The delegation visited President Ho Chi Minh 's paternal hometown and listened to the tour guides explain about his hometown, family, childhood, life and career. Visiting the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, Ambassador Choi Youngsam expressed his emotions when seeing the simple scenery of bamboo fences, thatched roofs, small dirt roads, looms, wells... and artifacts in the relic site, associated with the image of Uncle Ho. The delegation also visited the house of Vice President Nguyen Sinh Sac, the father of President Ho Chi Minh in Sen village. As part of the program of visiting and working in Nghe An, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Choi Youngsam and members of the delegation will visit VSIP Industrial Park and attend the 25th Anniversary Ceremony of the Vietnam - Korea Technical College.

In recent years, with the good cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea in general and Nghe An and organizations and enterprises in Korea in particular, Korea has had effective ODA official support projects. The project to build the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical School supported by KOICA in 1999 is a typical example. The Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical School was established on December 4, 1998 under Decision No. 1272/QD.UBND of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. In October 1999, the first phase of the project was invested by the Korean Government with a total capital of 5 million USD; Nghe An province's counterpart capital was 11 billion VND. On February 15, 2007, the School was upgraded to Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College according to Decision No. 258/QD-BLDTBXH of the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. The Korean Government continued to invest in phase II with a total capital of 2.45 million USD; Nghe An province's counterpart capital was 30 billion VND.
Up to now, Nghe An province has granted investment registration certificates to 24 projects of Korean enterprises and investors with a total registered capital of 166.7 million USD. Of the 24 projects, 19 projects with a total registered capital of 70.97 million USD are outside industrial parks and 5 projects/95.73 million USD are in the Southeast economic zone and industrial parks. Nghe An province will prioritize attracting investment projects with high added value, using modern technology, environmentally friendly, especially in the fields of high technology; supporting industry; material production; financial and banking services; education; biotechnology for agriculture; Infrastructure development, training of high-quality human resources, research and development, modern services, logistics and supply chains... Regarding investment attraction partners, targeting enterprises with financial capacity, supply chains, connectivity and attracting investment in the production of supporting products.
