The Embassy of Japan in Vietnam sponsors specialized ophthalmology medical equipment for the Provincial Eye Hospital.

On the morning of May 13, the Provincial Eye Hospital organized the reception of specialized ophthalmology medical equipment sponsored by the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam.

Comrade Tran Xuan Duong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented flowers to Mr. Ito Naoki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam.

Attending the handover ceremony were Mr. Ito Naoki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam; Comrade Tran Xuan Duong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province; Mr. Saito Masafumi, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam; Ms. Yamaguchi Kumiko, Third Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam; leaders of the Provincial Department of Health ; Provincial Eye Hospital.

Mr. Ito Naoki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam, presented a symbolic plaque to donate equipment to the Provincial Eye Hospital.

At the ceremony, the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam handed over medical equipment including: 01 retinal photocoagulation laser machine, 01 handheld automatic refractometer and corneal curvature measuring machine with a total cost of more than 1.7 billion VND.

Delegates visit eye examination machine for students of Liem Chinh Secondary School, Phu Ly city.

With modern equipment, the Provincial Eye Hospital will help improve the quality of eye examination and treatment for people in the province, gradually reducing the rate of blindness in the community. In particular, the poor and disadvantaged people will have access to modern eye care and treatment services.
