Dak Nong promotes public investment for economic growth

Focus on key projects

In 2025, Dak Nong plans to disburse VND3,504 billion for infrastructure development projects. Of which, key projects account for a large amount of capital. However, due to many difficulties, currently, key projects still have a large amount of capital backlog.

For example, the projects: Dao Nghia - Quang Khe Road Project Phase 2 has 433 billion VND left; Gia Nghia City Central Square Project has 141 billion VND left; Dak Nong Provincial Museum, Library and Park Complex Project has 52.1 billion VND left...

The biggest reason identified for the slow progress of the projects is the slow site clearance. Some projects lacked filling materials.

In fact, slow growth in public investment will affect GRDP growth. Because in 2025, the industry and construction sector is expected to contribute 16.40% to the province's GRDP. This is the sector expected to contribute the highest among all key sectors.

Regarding key projects, on March 12, after visiting a number of projects, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that site clearance must be resolved.

Where there is land, the investor and construction unit will start first. Do not wait, which will lead to delays. Gia Nghia City will actively mobilize people to support and hand over the land to the State.

“To do this well, the coordination mechanism between relevant departments, sectors, localities, investors and contractors must be really smooth and tight. Avoid the situation where everyone does their own thing, leading to unfeasible results,” Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Muoi directed.

The Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board coordinates with Gia Nghia City in site clearance. In cases where resettlement is certain, it is necessary to propagate and mobilize people to support immediately.

Wherever the land can be cleared, the investor and contractor will immediately start working. In case of deliberate resistance, the last resort is to resolutely enforce the decision.

Determination to overcome difficulties

Public investment is one of the important factors promoting economic growth. Therefore, to increase GRDP, Dak Nong needs effective management and supervision policies to ensure sustainable growth.

According to Acting Director of the Department of Finance Tran Dinh Ninh, in order to increase GRDP, the public investment sector needs to be promoted. If done well, Dak Nong can reach the highest level of public investment of 7% of the total GRDP.

Therefore, from the beginning of 2025, Dak Nong must focus on many solutions for site clearance and promote the implementation of national target programs. "The goal that Dak Nong sets is to be determined to complete the public investment plan for 2025 and the medium-term plan for 2021-2025," said Mr. Ninh.

Dak Nong urgently directed relevant units to proactively coordinate with central ministries, branches and Binh Phuoc province to promptly start the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project before April 30, 2025," Mr. Ninh informed.

To speed up disbursement of investment capital, Dak Nong will resolutely recover capital allocated to projects with disbursement volume not implemented according to the approved plan.

For projects that are not implemented according to the approved plan, the province will resolutely recover capital to adjust capital to projects with good capital disbursement volume, ensuring investment efficiency and avoiding loss and waste.

In 2025 , Dak Nong 's public investment capital plan is 3,504 billion VND, 117 billion VND higher than the total capital plan announced by the Ministry of Planning and Investment . Of which, local budget capital is 1,126 billion VND ; central budget capital is 2,377 billion VND .
