In residential area 3, Tien Thanh ward, there are many rubber trees and fruit trees of households along the medium and low voltage power lines. Recently, with the participation of the electricity industry in propaganda and mobilization, Mr. Le Xuan Tien and many households in the area have highly agreed to prune branches and tree branches within the power grid corridor.
Mr. Tien shared: Pruning tree branches and twigs, although the family economy is more or less affected, keeping the power grid corridor clear is very necessary, helping to ensure safety for families and communities living near high voltage power grids.
Mr. Le Van An in Ward 3, Tien Thanh Ward said: My family's rubber garden is near the power grid, sometimes the tree branches rub against the power grid, get caught in the wind and rain, we are very afraid that an accident will happen. Therefore, when the electricity industry raised the issue of cutting down the trees, I and the people here fully supported it. In the long term, my family plans to cut down the rows of trees near the power grid, plant shorter trees, the economy may be affected but the most important thing is to ensure the safety of human life.
Dong Xoai Power Company currently manages more than 464km of medium voltage lines and 406km of low voltage lines. Many types of industrial trees are planted by people within the safety corridor of the power grid, which can easily lead to the situation where the trees collide, fall, causing widespread power outages and making it very difficult to handle and fix the problem.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh, an employee of the Power Line and Transformer Station Operation Management Team, Dong Xoai Power Company, said: The unit regularly coordinates with local authorities to propagate and mobilize people not to plant trees along the power grid and to agree when the electricity industry implements clearing and pruning of trees encroaching on the power grid safety corridor. On the unit's side, the implementation of periodic clearing must be quick and safe, avoiding prolonged power outages that affect the daily life and production of people and businesses.
Along with promoting technical solutions and increasing lighting from the electricity industry, full awareness among people about ensuring the safety corridor of the power grid is extremely necessary to ensure the safety of people and property, contributing significantly to the provision of electricity for production and daily life throughout and in the long term.
The plan for clearing trees near the power grid corridors is periodically developed by the electricity sector at the beginning of the year, assigning individuals to manage the grid, each line, each branch to review and synthesize to have a suitable clearing plan.
