Ensure credit for year-end production

(QNgTV) - In the first 6 months of this year, the banking system has pumped about 1.55 million billion VND into the economy, equivalent to nearly 260,000 billion VND per month. Compared to the same period last year, credit increased by more than 19%, recording the highest growth rate in the past three years.

By the end of May, outstanding credit balance of the entire banking system reached over 16.6 million billion VND.

The largest proportion of total outstanding credit in the economy in the first half of the year was in the agricultural and rural sector with more than 23%, followed by small and medium enterprises with more than 17.5%. Lending to the export and supporting industry sectors both increased significantly.

To boost credit for the last 6 months of the year, in addition to attracting more than 7.5 million billion VND from the residential sector and more than 177,000 billion VND from corporate bond issuance, banks also stepped up efforts to attract foreign capital flows.
