Over the past time, I have been to every entertainment place in my province, and the less known places I want to visit to introduce them to the audience. Each land, each dish, each character... have contributed to creating a beautiful and colorful youth of the host - Hoang Phat.
The story began on a beautiful morning in October 2021, when Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duy, Head of the Editorial Department, Ninh Thuan Radio and Television Station (at that time) called me into the room and said: "I want you to make a new program about tourism, introducing entertainment and culinary destinations with MCs experiencing the scene... do you think you can do it?". Honestly, at that time, I didn't know if I could do it well or not, because I had only been at the Station for less than a year, but I was bold and loved to conquer, so I boldly answered my boss "Yes, you can do it!". So, everything came very naturally and up to now, nearly 20 clips have been broadcast on the Station, I didn't think I could do it and go to so many places. There were places that I had never known or set foot in, so I went to work with the feelings of an experienced person "saying what I see".
Born in Nhon Hai, Ninh Hai district, where there is only white salt and blue sea all around, in my childhood memories there are only famous places near my house such as: Vinh Hy, Hang Rai, Thai An, My Tan,... so to talk about other entertainment spots in the province in Bac Ai, Ninh Phuoc, or Ninh Son,... is really a very difficult thing. I am sure that many other young people are the same, even though they are Ninh Thuan people, they have never fully explored this land, perhaps if I did not take on this program, every time I travel , I will be absorbed in searching for a tour somewhere far away, forgetting that my own homeland is also majestic and poetic.
As a land with mountains, forests, plains, rivers, streams and seas, Ninh Thuan does not lack any products. Every time I go back, I ask myself: Why is my hometown so beautiful! Why do so many people not know about us? And from the heart of a son of the sunny and windy land, wishing for local tourism to develop more and more, I put my heart into every program I create, gradually it is no longer a task assigned by the boss, but it is the feeling of a young person, willing to use that youthful energy to spread the nature, culture, people... of Ninh Thuan to friends near and far.
My grandparents said, “A day of travel is a basketful of knowledge.” The older I get, the more I realize how true these words are. There are things that are not in books or the news that I read every day as a presenter, but only in real-life trips. It could be direct contact with the people, seeing with my own eyes, touching with my own hands, smelling with my own nose, and tasting with my own tongue the specialties of the places I visit… Working in television means traveling a lot, and working in tourism television means there are countless more. Thinking back, I often feel very lucky to still have the health and enthusiasm to travel to so many places. For an introvert with few friends like me, if I had not had the chance to come to this profession, I would probably never have set foot in the so-called O Cam stream (Phuoc Trung commune), Cha Port waterfall (Phuoc Binh commune), or Bai Thung (Vinh Hai commune),... with countless mysteries and overwhelming beauty that nature has bestowed upon my homeland.
For a host, the greatest joy is when going to the base, or when many people recognize me and give me compliments about my hosting style and appearance. But for me, as well as being the editor of the program "Ninh Thuan Destination", the greatest happiness in the profession that I feel is helping some tourist establishments and, more broadly, promoting the tourism image of my home province. Some young people who have started their own businesses, opened entertainment areas, homestays, restaurants, etc., when they met me by chance, they thanked me profusely, "Phat, since the day you introduced my place to the station, the number of visitors has been very high, thank you and the crew very much!". I myself was surprised, I did not think the effect would be so strong, when I reviewed the clips posted on the station's YouTube channel (Ninh Thuan Television), the number of views was really huge, some destinations had hundreds of thousands of views. That's it, just that simple, but I suddenly love my job more, and then love this life so much. I don't know about my colleagues, but for me, working in television is a job but not an ordinary job. The mission of a television worker is to combine the images and words you use into a meaningful, rhythmic and humane block, aiming for the values of truth, goodness and beauty. Certainly, along with the development of society, the television industry will have to face many challenges, but that is also the time for young people like me to promote the spirit of creativity and innovation, adapt to all circumstances to conquer the audience with the most modern and dedicated works. And "Diem Destination Ninh Thuan" is exactly such a format.
Once again, thank you to the leaders who created conditions for me to freely unleash my creativity, to find my strengths in the profession, "Diem Destination Ninh Thuan" has fully exploited a host Hoang Phat who is strong enough to trek through forests, wade through streams and when he returns home, he has gentle, soaring and poetic comments, something that I never thought I could do in my dreams. Thank you to the lands I have passed through, thank you to the people I have met, that is the female student in the white ao dai in the wind power field, or that is the enthusiastic Cham girl who guides pottery making in Bau Truc, or maybe the Raglai girl who taught me to play Ma la under the majestic Cha Por waterfall. Thank you and thank you to many more things, all of which have contributed to making my path later on have extremely special experiences. It can be said that each stage of life is like a journey. Each different life will experience different journeys. And, the journey of being attached to television, it is a very beautiful journey for me, I hope that my colleagues will always be healthy and work well, there will be more and more quality "Ninh Thuan Destination" and better in the future, forever love NTV.
