The highlight of the quarter-finals of the 2023 U17 World Cup in Indonesia is the big match between U17 Argentina and Brazil taking place on the evening of November 24 (Vietnam time).
Both teams started the game with confidence and played an attacking game from the start. Brazil had the first chance but Rayan's shot went wide. Argentina responded just a minute later but both Subiare and Acuna missed from close range.
In the 26th minute, Rayan had a great chance when facing the goalkeeper but he shot wide. Rayan's miss cost Brazil when they conceded a goal just 2 minutes later.

From a quick counter-attack in the home field, striker Claudio Echeverri dribbled from midfield and then decisively shot outside the penalty area. The ball hit a Brazilian defender's foot and changed direction, causing goalkeeper Phillipe Gabriel to try his best to fly but still be unable to block it.
Conceding a goal, Brazil tried to attack to find an equalizer, but the young Selecao players' final finishing ability was not good, forcing them to accept the end of the first half with a score of 0-1.

In the second half, from an attack on the right wing, the ball came to Echeverri's feet and he confidently dribbled past two Brazilian defenders before finishing from a tight angle, defeating goalkeeper Phillipe Gabriel to increase the score to 2-0 for Argentina.

The two goals helped Argentina proactively slow down the pace of the match, giving the game to their opponents and waiting for the opportunity to quickly counterattack. In the 71st minute, Echeverri still accelerated from midfield, received the ball accurately, dribbled past goalkeeper Phillipe Gabriel and completed his hat-trick.
In the remaining minutes, Argentina had 2 more good chances but could not score. However, the score of 3-0 was enough for U17 Argentina to enter the semi-finals to meet U17 Germany.
