In recent days, social networks in Quang Binh have continuously spread information about a strange virus fever syndrome occurring in Dong Hoi City. Accordingly, a Facebook account posted information with the content: "There is a strange virus fever in children with symptoms of mild fever that lasts for a long time and nausea. When hospitalized, the doctor concluded that the strange virus fever can invade the brain and be dangerous."

This information quickly attracted attention, many social network users commented and shared, causing confusion among many people.

Notably, below this status line, the poster also included an introduction about a global health care card from an insurance company.

However, Dr. Huynh Cong Hung - head of the Department of Tuberculosis, Lung Diseases and Infectious Disease Prevention and Control of the Quang Binh Center for Disease Control - confirmed that no cases of the disease caused by the strange virus have been recorded in the area.

According to Dr. Hung, it is true that recently a primary school student in Dong Hoi City had a fever and was taken to Hue Central Hospital by his family. Doctors initially diagnosed it as viral encephalitis, a common disease in children.

The doctor has not yet given a final conclusion, but information has spread on social networks, causing public confusion.

According to the Quang Binh Center for Disease Control, the agency has deployed surveillance and investigation into the patient's living area and school but has not discovered any similar cases.

"Currently, the infectious disease situation in the province is still under control, with no unusual developments," the center representative affirmed.
