Early on, many wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals, revolutionaries imprisoned by the enemy, and relatives of martyrs (including mothers and wives of martyrs...) who were receiving monthly preferential allowances managed by the commune were present at Phuong Dinh Medical Station to participate in the program.
The organizers arranged light meals (cakes, milk, fruit...) for people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs who came for health check-ups and consultations.
At the program, a team of doctors and nurses from Hanoi Heart Hospital, Dan Phuong General Hospital and Lien Minh Commune Health Station examined, measured blood pressure, examined eyes, performed ultrasound, electrocardiogram, musculoskeletal... for wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, martyrs' relatives, and resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals...
The commune's youth union members also supported the reception, guidance and visits during the medical examination process.
In addition to medical examination and medication appropriate to their health condition, policy beneficiaries are also advised on health care knowledge, nutrition, and appropriate exercise .
Also at the program, the commune leaders and representatives of departments, branches, sectors and organizations of the commune visited, encouraged and gave gifts to wounded soldiers, policy families, people with meritorious services to the revolution...
On this occasion, Lien Minh commune presented 348 gifts to meritorious people with a total value of 145 million VND.
According to the leader of Lien Minh commune, this activity aims to propagate and educate revolutionary traditions, patriotism, national pride, dedication and sacrifice of heroic martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution; at the same time, raise the sense of responsibility of all levels, sectors and people in the area in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; pay special attention and care for wounded soldiers, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution, contributing to building a strong local political base and strengthening solidarity between the army and the people.
In the coming time, Lien Minh commune will continue to pay attention and take better care of the material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services, ensuring social security policies in the commune.
