Memorial for the soldiers of the unnumbered ship at point C43B (Quang Ngai)

DNO - Within the framework of the 2025 survey trip to the coastal sea and island areas, on the afternoon of October 14, delegates participating in the working delegation and officers and soldiers of ship 390, under the Coast Guard Region Command, offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs of the unnumbered ship at point C43B, Quy Thien beach, Khanh Cuong commune, Quang Ngai province.

In a solemn atmosphere, delegates respectfully offered incense and observed a minute of silence to express their remembrance and gratitude for the great contributions of the heroes and martyrs who fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, creating the strategic transport route " Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea".

Before the heroic martyrs, the cadres and soldiers of the working group vow to promote the heroic revolutionary tradition, strive to compete, be ready to fight and sacrifice for the cause of protecting the Fatherland, and build the homeland and country to become increasingly prosperous.

In 1968, the unnumbered ship C43B was sent to transport 37 tons of weapons to support the battlefield in Zone 5.

At dawn on March 1, 1968, the ship was discovered by the enemy while preparing to dock in Pho An commune. The ship had to change course to Quy Thien beach, Khanh Cuong commune and was attacked by enemy forces with speedboats and helicopters.

To avoid capture and protect the secret, the crew was forced to destroy the ship. This location became a historical relic, commemorating the contributions of the unnumbered ship C43B and the soldiers in the cause of national liberation.
