Expanding the market

Having just returned from participating in international fairs in Russia and China, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien, Director of Hoang Phong DANA Company Limited (Hoa Khanh Ward) realized that the demand for Vietnamese products, especially natural products with stable quality and local identity, is clearly increasing.

During the process of connecting at international fairs, the company realized that there was a huge opportunity to expand the mid- and high-end segments, especially when retail chains were looking for new sources of goods from Southeast Asia.

Typically, My Phuong Food Company Limited (Hoa Khanh Ward) participated in 14 international fairs and exhibitions in many countries in the first 9 months of 2025 with the support of the Trade Promotion Agency and the City Department of Industry and Trade.

Thanks to that, the company has developed 4 new export markets. Notably, the company's export turnover in the first 9 months of 2025 increased by 214% compared to the same period in 2024 (equivalent to an increase of 25 billion VND).

At the same time, the company takes advantage of opportunities to exploit new markets, promote cross-border e-commerce to improve operational efficiency.

Affirming the brand "made in Da Nang"

STCO Food Company Limited (Hoa Tien Commune) is a company specializing in producing food for export to the Japanese market. “Made in Da Nang” products such as dried pho, macaroni, etc. are available in many Japanese supermarkets.

Every day, the company's average pho production capacity is up to 16,800 finished products. The amount of products produced is consumed immediately and there is no inventory.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan Trang, Director of STCO Food Company Limited, said that to improve product competitiveness and meet the increasing demand for export orders, the company invested in additional machinery and equipment to increase production capacity to 38,400 finished products/day.

It is expected that revenue after investment will increase by 50%, meeting market demand and creating stable jobs for 50 local workers.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien, to improve competitiveness and effectively utilize connection opportunities organized by the Department of Industry and Trade, businesses will focus on three main strategic directions.

Specifically, promote product standardization and internationalization to better suit high-end markets. Develop a network of strategic partners in each region through trade promotion programs and international fairs.

Hoang Phong DANA Company Limited invests heavily in digital transformation and cross-border e-commerce, aiming to directly reach international consumers and reduce dependence on intermediaries.

“The support programs of the Department of Industry and Trade are not only promotional opportunities, but also a foundation for long-term cooperation between businesses and local authorities, aiming to bring the Da Nang brand to the world,” Ms. Lien said.

It is known that recently, the Department of Industry and Trade has organized many promotional and connecting activities to bring Da Nang businesses to participate in international fairs.

Recently, the city's business delegation had the opportunity to participate in booths at the Malaysia International Halal Exhibition (MIHAS 2025) taking place from September 17 to 20.

The event helps businesses in the food and pharmaceutical industries promote their unique products, access Halal market information, thereby expanding export opportunities to Malaysia and Muslim countries.

The city's industry and trade sector will make the most of opportunities from free trade agreements. At the same time, it will promote trade promotion programs associated with the locality's key export industries to support businesses."
