Since this school year, Ha Huy Tap High School (Tam Ky Ward, Da Nang City) has officially synchronized the student attendance system using facial recognition technology (Face ID), marking an important step forward in digital transformation and student management at the school.
The information was confirmed by Mr. Lai The Nam, Principal of the school, on October 14. This is the result after a pilot period from April 2024.

With 4 machines installed to serve more than 600 students of all 3 grades, the school has proven the superior efficiency of technology compared to traditional manual methods.
According to Mr. Nam, the most outstanding advantage of the Face ID system is its ability to save maximum time and effort for both teachers and students. Each student only needs about 1 second to scan their face and complete the roll call. This complete automation also helps to "eliminate" the possibility of cheating during the roll call process.
Thanks to the application of new technology, the situation of students being late has almost been eliminated.

The Face ID attendance system also acts as an effective communication bridge between the school and parents. As soon as a student scans his or her face, the system will record and update the status.
Mr. Nam emphasized the instant notification feature: "For example, school starts at 1:30 p.m. If at 1:31 p.m., a student has not yet checked in, the system will notify them of being late. After 15 minutes, if a student has not arrived, it will report that they are absent and automatically send a notification to the parent's phone. This is to help parents check if their child has had an accident on the way to school."
All attendance data is saved in detail by the system, helping the school clearly understand the number of students attending school and supporting homeroom teachers to closely monitor the learning and attendance of each student.
A notable point is that students and parents do not have to pay any fees for the implementation of this modern technology system. The entire Face ID system is invested by the school to promote digital transformation in management, bringing a more disciplined, modern and transparent learning environment.
