Affirming identity from depth
According to the orientation in the Political Report presented to the 1st Quang Tri Provincial Party Congress, the period 2025 - 2030 determined: Continue to preserve and promote heritage values associated with the development of sustainable cultural and tourism industries. Encourage creativity, making culture an endogenous driving force for socio-economic development. Build modern, humane Quang Tri people, rich in courage and proud of identity, so that culture truly becomes a spiritual strength to rise up in the new era.
The system of cultural and sports facilities has been invested in more synchronously; many cultural centers, community centers, libraries, and playgrounds have been built, becoming places for meeting, exchanging, creating, and connecting the community. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" is not only a slogan, but has become a way of thinking and a way of life - contributing to the formation of new people, cultural families, and civilized and united residential areas.
In the field of heritage conservation, the province pays special attention to preserving tangible and intangible cultural values - from communal houses, pagodas, shrines to festivals, customs, folk songs, and traditional occupations. Many unique cultural values have been restored and embellished, linked with tourism development. Revolutionary historical and spiritual cultural relics have been restored and effectively exploited, not only for research purposes but also as destinations for gratitude and traditional education.
Importantly, Quang Tri does not consider conservation as “preserving the past”, but rather as reviving heritage values with contemporary vitality. Heritage becomes a resource for development – from cultural tourism, folk art to creative industry. Each relic, festival, and traditional craft village is seen as a “soft resource”, both nurturing national pride and opening up a direction for sustainable livelihood development for the community.
Culture today is no longer a quiet value in memory, but a source of vital energy that permeates every home, every school, every festival, every tourism product. It is the strength that creates the character, personality and pride of the people of Quang Tri - people who know how to be grateful for the past, steadfast in the present and aspire towards the future.
Bringing culture deeply into life
Along with conservation, Quang Tri province focuses on awakening the creative power of culture - the core element so that culture is not only preserved but also spreads strongly in contemporary life.
The movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” continues to be maintained and spread to each residential community. Many grassroots cultural models, folk art clubs, and mass sports movements have become bright spots, contributing to connecting the community and building a civilized and affectionate lifestyle.
The province focuses on developing cultural industry and cultural tourism - a new direction that helps transform traditional values into economic driving force. Linking heritage, art, folk music, cuisine, and craft villages with tourism development has created unique products, enhancing the local brand. Each person, artisan, and community becomes a "creative subject" in reviving culture with pride and love for the homeland.
At the same time, digital transformation in the field of culture and communication opens up new spaces for preservation and promotion. E-government and digital heritage databases are deployed, helping to connect traditional culture and modern technology. Digital knowledge dissemination programs for people in remote and isolated areas are expanded, contributing to the formation of creative thinking, improving knowledge, and integrating with the times.
Practice shows that when culture permeates life, when people become the center of creativity, development is not only measured by numbers, but also by the spread of values - compassion, community awareness and pride in identity.
