Xuan Van High School, formerly Xuan Van Junior and Senior High School, initially had only two 10th-grade classes with 64 students. To expand educational opportunities for high school students in the area, the school was separated and renamed Xuan Van High School in 2005. In its early days, the school faced many difficulties, lacking facilities, with a small teaching staff, and a large proportion of students being from ethnic minority communities. However, with the spirit of "overcoming difficulties, teaching well, learning well," generations of teachers and students at Xuan Van High School have united, overcome challenges, and built the school into a thriving institution.

Students need to clearly define the right motivation for learning. Besides acquiring knowledge, they should focus on cultivating and developing their moral character, behaving in a cultured manner, complying with state laws and school regulations, and striving to become digital citizens and global citizens, possessing both virtue and talent, and making positive contributions to the development of their homeland and country.
The comrade requested that all levels, sectors, and Xuan Van commune continue to pay attention to and allocate resources to invest in equipment, creating all conditions for the school to perform its assigned tasks well, contributing to the province's education sector's goal of developing education and training, and improving the quality of human resources in the province.
