On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day and the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' Tradition Day, and the 20th anniversary of the National Security Day, in order to strengthen international cooperation, the 2025 International Police Volleyball Tournament will be held in Vietnam from August 24 to 30, 2025, at the National Defense Sports Center II, Military Region 7 (HCMC).
The tournament, organized by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with relevant agencies, gathered more than 150 athletes from 4 Southeast Asian countries, competing in 11 matches over 5 consecutive days.
Participating teams include 3 Vietnamese teams: People's Public Security (with the core being the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security Volleyball Team); Army (The Cong - Tan Cang); Hanoi Club along with the teams: Lao Ministry of Public Security Team; Cambodian Ministry of Interior Team (Visakha); Indonesian Police Team (Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi Club).
The tournament is not only a sports playground but also an opportunity to enhance understanding and international cooperation in maintaining security and order, while demonstrating the image of dynamic, brave, united and sportsmanlike police officers.

A special feature of the 2025 International Police Volleyball Tournament is that the organizers do not limit the number of athletes registered. Teams are free to hire an unlimited number of athletes from abroad to compete.
In addition, domestic teams are also allowed to invite athletes from other clubs.
Currently in the list of registered players, the home team Cong An Nhan Dan has the presence of Ter Horst, a notable Dutch striker.
He is 2.05m tall and has played in the world's top volleyball tournaments. In the Dutch national team, Ter Horst won the European Championship in 2012.
In addition, the People's Police team also has the participation of domestic stars such as Quan Trong Nghia, Nguyen Van Quoc Duy, Pham Quoc Du, and Che Quoc Vo Lit.
The list of representatives of the Army, The Cong - Tan Cang, also has many prominent names such as Tu Thanh Thuan, Phan Cong Duc, Cao Duc Hoang.
According to the representative of the organizing committee, the unlimited registration of athletes is aimed at improving the quality of the tournament, creating opportunities for teams to compete and aiming for further goals. The organizing committee also hopes to turn the tournament into an annual event, attracting a large number of fans.
The 2025 International Police Volleyball Championship is free and open to the public.
