Effective mass mobilization to unleash the people's power.

Over the years, many good models and effective methods in the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" movement across various aspects of social life have been replicated by the Party Committee and government of Bach Hac ward, Viet Tri city, contributing to promoting socio -economic development, ensuring security and order, and strengthening national unity.

With the motto "Using the people to propagate and mobilize the people," and "Party members lead the way, the people follow," along with timely encouragement and support from Party committees and government at all levels, the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" emulation movement has achieved positive results.

Many households in the Mo Thuong and Lang Dai areas have voluntarily donated land, creating favorable conditions for upgrading and expanding the residential area's roads.

These days, along the roads in the Mo Thuong and Lang Dai residential areas, residents are urgently dismantling and relocating fences, gates, and other structures, and cutting down trees to hand over the land to the local authorities for upgrading and widening the road and sidewalks.

As a resident who donated land and auxiliary structures on the land, Ms. Nguyen Thi Van from Mo Thuong area shared: “After being informed and encouraged by the local Party committee and government about the policy of donating land to expand roads in the residential area, we were delighted and immediately agreed, because wide, beautiful roads will serve the people's transportation needs. My family and many other families voluntarily moved our fences back 1.5 meters in width and 20 meters in length to upgrade and expand the road...”.

Previously, the road in the Mo Thuong and Lang Dai residential areas was only 3 meters wide. As people's living standards improved and traffic volume increased, travel became difficult due to the road's deterioration and narrowness. After the plan to upgrade and widen the road to over 6 meters was implemented, nearly 140 households donated more than 3,500 square meters of land, worth billions of VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang, Secretary of the Party Branch and Head of the Fatherland Front Committee of Mo Thuong area, said: "With the coordinated efforts in propaganda and mobilization, the movement to donate land for road expansion in some residential areas has received high consensus from the people. Recognizing the benefits of expanding transportation infrastructure, households living along the road in the area have unanimously cut down trees, demolished solid fences, and reduced their family's land to donate it..."

The mass mobilization unit of Bach Hac ward not only performed well in mass mobilization work regarding land donation for road construction but also actively participated in mass mobilization efforts to prevent, mitigate, and support people affected by Typhoon No. 3. The unit advised the local Party committee, government, and armed forces to promptly respond to complex developments caused by the typhoon's aftermath, and proactively developed plans for widespread flood prevention and control.

In addition, support was provided to affected families to move people and property to higher ground to ensure safety; people were advised to limit travel due to the rapidly rising and fast-flowing river water. Organizations also participated in cleaning up after the water receded, visiting, encouraging, and providing essential supplies to families affected by the storm...

With the goal of improving the quality of life for the people, the ward's mass mobilization unit has proactively innovated the content of its propaganda, advising the Party committee and government on the implementation of "effective mass mobilization" models in various fields, linked to the "National Unity for Building New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Areas" campaign and the "National Unity for Building a Culturally Rich Life" movement, which have been widely implemented and yielded practical results.

For example, the Bach Hac Street Party Branch propagated and mobilized the people to clear land and build a green, clean, and beautiful road that meets urban civilization standards, such as the Chu Dong Tu road; the Lang Dai area Party Branch mobilized the people to contribute manpower and resources to build a community cultural center; the Doan Ket Street Party Branch mobilized the people to establish two rowing clubs to participate in city and provincial festivals and competitions...

Mr. Nguyen Lai Thai Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Bach Hac Ward, said: "From the beginning of 2024, the ward's mass mobilization unit developed a plan for implementing mass mobilization work for the year, based on the actual situation in the locality and the State's policies and guidelines in various fields to select and register suitable models for implementation. Residential areas have launched emulation movements associated with building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, mobilizing people to participate in donating land for road construction, contributing labor and money to upgrade, repair, and beautify the grounds of the community cultural center, and improve roads and alleyways, facilitating trade and transportation, and developing the local economy... The 'Skilled Mass Mobilization' models in various fields continue to be maintained and operate effectively. To date, the percentage of cultured families has reached nearly 97%, 6 out of 6 residential areas have achieved the status of cultured residential areas, and the poverty rate has decreased to 0.67%."
