On the morning of March 23 (February 14 of the lunar calendar), the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Vien district held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 1100th birthday of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang.
Attending the incense offering ceremony were comrade Hoang Manh Hung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council; leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district; representatives of agencies, departments, sectors, unions, representatives of the Executive Committee of the District Buddhist Sangha; Standing Committee of the Party Committees of communes and towns and a large number of tourists and local people.
Offering incense at the Temple of King Dinh Tien Hoang, the delegates respectfully remembered the merits of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang - the national hero who had the merit of suppressing the rebellion of 12 warlords, unifying the country, establishing Dai Co Viet, and naming the reign Thai Binh . He gathered the strength of the people, suppressed internal enemies, subdued external enemies, kept the border peaceful, Dai Co Viet was on par with the Northern Song Dynasty, and built the first centralized feudal state in Vietnam.
In a sacred and solemn atmosphere, delegates expressed their determination to uphold the heroic tradition of their ancestors, continue to unite, be dynamic, creative, join hands, and unanimously promote collective intelligence, support, and consensus of the people, and build their homeland Gia Vien to become increasingly developed, rich, beautiful, civilized, and modern.
Previously, the district delegation held an incense offering and announcement ceremony at Phat Tich mausoleum - the birthplace of the Dinh Dynasty, and a palanquin procession from Phat Tich mausoleum to the temple of King Dinh Tien Hoang to perform the following rituals of the 1100th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang.
Participating in the procession are the palanquin procession teams of Dinh Tien Hoang De and Phat tich Dinh Trieu De Vuong (Gia Phuong commune) and palanquin procession teams from localities inside and outside the district: Dinh Trai-Thung Lau palanquin (Gia Hung commune); Dinh My Ha palanquin (Gia Thuy-Nho Quan commune); Ngoai Giap Dinh Dien palanquin (Gia Phuong commune); Dinh Quoc Cong Nguyen Bac palanquin (Gia Phuong commune); Ambassador Trinh Tu palanquin (Lien Son commune); Grand Tutor Luu Co palanquin (Lien Son commune).
After the incense offering ceremony, there was a performance of the "Reed Flag Dance" by students of Gia Phuong Primary School, recalling the childhood of King Dinh and his shepherd friends practicing battle, using reeds as flags. The childhood game has continued the martial arts tradition of our nation - a nation with thousands of years of history that has bravely risen up to repel foreign invaders.
