Vietnam National Brand Program – a unique, long-term and specific trade promotion program of the Government
The Vietnam National Brand Program is a unique, long-term and specific trade promotion program of the Government.
The program has been implemented since 2003, with the goal of promoting the development of the National Brand by supporting businesses to build and develop strong brands in the market, thereby promoting the image of Vietnam as a country with a developed manufacturing industry, with many high-quality goods and services, contributing to improving national competitiveness, raising the position of Vietnamese brands in the domestic and international markets.
The selection of enterprises achieving National Brand has been conducted every two years since 2008 with the aim of encouraging enterprises to continue sharing and pursuing the values of the program, enhancing pride in Vietnamese products.
After more than 20 years of implementation, with the close and consistent leadership and direction of the Party and State leaders; the active and effective participation of central and local departments, ministries, branches and organizations; the proactive and outstanding efforts of the business community with the aspiration for a strong and prosperous Vietnam, the Vietnam National Brand Program has achieved many positive results, attracting special attention from the business community and domestic and foreign consumers, becoming a solid launching pad, helping Vietnamese enterprises to rise up, creating new values and strengths for the country.
On November 4, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced and awarded the 2024 National Brand title to 359 products of 190 enterprises out of more than 1,000 enterprises whose products participating in the program met the criteria of the Program.
These are all enterprises with impressive business results with total revenue in 2023 reaching 2.4 million billion VND, total payment to the state budget of about 150 trillion VND, ensuring jobs for over 600 thousand workers and people, actively participating in social security activities, contributing to promoting the country's rapid and sustainable development.
