tourism potential, especially eco-tourism and cultural tourism, with typical landmarks such as: Tram Chim - Tam Nong National Park wetland, Sa Dec mound relic site, An Hoa beach, Con Tien, more than 44 craft villages spread across the districts: Lai Thap, Xeo Quyt, Nguyen Sinh Sac tomb area, Gao Giong eco-tourism area, Vung ornamental flower villages, Lap Vo, Chau Thanh, Tan Hong, Hong Ngu.

Dong Thap's tourism industry promises to bring satisfaction to tourists and attract investors to strongly develop Dong Thap's tourism industry.
With the above advantages, Dong Thap has established a master plan to develop 19 tourist areas and destinations, of which 5 key tourist areas and destinations are under provincial management and prioritized for investment; The rest are tourist areas and destinations under district and town management. Although not yet complete, some have been initially exploited and welcomed tourists.
In recent years, Dong Thap's tourism
economy has been growing, leading to the development of many other supporting industries. In particular, Dong Thap's unique indigenous culture has the opportunity to be promoted and exchanged with regional cultures in the country and the region. The number of domestic and foreign tourists coming to Dong Thap is increasing.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Dong Thap province has identified agricultural tourism as a key type of tourism in the local tourism development strategy. To date, the province has 65 agricultural and community tourism attractions including: 8 Homestays, 2 Farmstays, 55 community tourism attractions, agricultural tourism, and craft village experiences.
Each district and city in the province has great potential to exploit and develop agricultural tourism, notably Sa Dec Flower Village, the lotus growing area in Thap Muoi district or the mango growing area in Cao Lanh city and Cao Lanh district... In the period of 2016 - 2022, agricultural and community tourism attractions attracted about 4.3 million visitors, with revenue of about 519 billion VND.
To develop agricultural tourism in the coming time, Dong Thap province has proposed many solutions. In particular, the focus is on planning each area to develop agricultural tourism associated with the strengths of local resources; researching and building typical tourism products, combining tourism with entertainment services with high experiential value. In addition, strengthening the connection between business households, between localities in the province and with service companies, travel agencies; paying attention to investing in improving and enhancing the quality of accommodation services...
In addition, agricultural tourism also contributes to preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage and natural resources; creating jobs, improving people's lives; promoting the image of the homeland and people of Dong Thap.
