Training high quality human resources, improving comprehensive education

Bright spot in improving education quality

Since being recognized as meeting national standards (January 2022), Nguyen Trung Truc Secondary School - one of the typical schools of Ben Luc commune, has constantly innovated teaching methods and improved training quality.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the school's teaching staff achieved many encouraging results, affirming their important role in training a generation of students with comprehensive development in knowledge, skills and qualities. Notably, the student attendance rate reached 100%; 463 enrollment targets were met. The dropout rate was only 0.41%, down nearly 0.4% compared to the previous school year; the junior high school graduation rate reached 100%. In the excellent student competitions, the school had 43 students winning prizes at the provincial and district levels; 1 student won a national prize.

Along with improving professional quality, the school focuses on life skills education and experience. Last school year, the school organized 18 life skills seminars with the participation of prestigious lecturers, doctors, and masters. Students visited and had practical experiences at historical and cultural sites, contributing to fostering love for their homeland and country. STEM, science and technology and career guidance activities were strongly implemented. Streamlining was effectively implemented with counseling sessions, bringing students directly to vocational schools and businesses. As a result, all 340 grade 9 students graduated from junior high school, of which 37 students studied vocational training, meeting and exceeding the target.

In addition, the socialization of education continues to be effective. The school has mobilized nearly 119 million VND for life skills activities; awarded 23 health insurance packages, more than 3,300 notebooks and 70 million VND in bonuses to disadvantaged students.

Entering the 2025-2026 school year, the school has 42 classes with 1,823 students, an increase of 2 classes compared to the previous year. The main goal is to maintain the title of "Advanced Labor Collective", striving to achieve "Excellent Labor Collective". The school plans to establish more sports clubs (football, basketball, badminton, swimming, athletics...) and academic clubs (Math, Literature, Foreign Languages, Natural Sciences...), with special attention to maintaining and developing the English club.

Principal Dang Thi Thuy Hoa emphasized: "We want to build a friendly and modern learning environment, encourage students to develop their comprehensive abilities, and at the same time inspire creativity and a sense of responsibility to the community." To complete the task well, the school proposed to soon recruit enough teachers; invest in upgrading and repairing degraded classrooms; handle the situation of shops and businesses around the school; and deploy the construction of standard subject classrooms according to the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026 - 2030.

The whole industry focuses on innovation

According to the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh province, in the 2025-2026 school year, the scale of schools and classrooms will be consolidated, and facilities will be upgraded to better meet the learning needs of the people. The sector will pay special attention to building a team of qualified and competent teachers and managers; synchronously implementing policies to attract and support teachers; and exempting and reducing tuition fees for students.

The Department of Education and Training has issued many solutions to innovate school management towards autonomy, increased accountability, and promoted the application of information technology. The rate of universalization and eradication of illiteracy continues to be maintained at a high level. Inclusive education and support for ethnic minority students, children in industrial zones, and children with disabilities are focused on.

The 2018 General Education Program continues to be implemented synchronously from grades 1 to 12. Many schools increase teaching 2 sessions/day, applying methods to promote students' abilities and qualities. The work of improving the quality of English teaching is of interest, the Department is researching a roadmap to make English a second language.

In particular, the province has established a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, contributing to improving the quality of teacher training and vocational education. The arrangement of the school network, innovation of content and form and improvement of the quality of vocational education associated with labor needs have helped the rate of trained workers increase.

Director of Tay Ninh Department of Education and Training Nguyen Quang Thai said that in the 2025-2026 school year, the sector has identified key tasks such as continuing to implement the 2018 General Education Program; promoting STEM education, career guidance, and streaming; enhancing digital transformation in teaching and management; developing a team of teachers according to professional standards; effectively implementing emulation movements "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning"...
