Lien Ha Thai is a pioneering industrial park (IP) in Thai Binh Economic Zone, identified by the provincial Party Committee and government as a key project, a driving force in attracting investment and developing the province's socio-economy. Enterprises investing in Lien Ha Thai IP are not only supported in investment procedures, enjoy preferential policies, and encourage investment at the highest level, but also receive support in many aspects to implement the project smoothly and effectively. One of those supports is connecting the supply and training of high-quality human resources for enterprises.
The factory of Lotes Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park has a total investment capital of 120 million USD.
Ohsung Vina Thai Binh Co., Ltd. is a company specializing in the production of motor components for electronic equipment, household appliances and LED screen accessories with a designed capacity of more than 75,000 tons of products/year. The company has completed the investment and production of phase 2 of the project, preparing to put phase 3 into operation. In addition to direct production, the company also organizes processing, repair and warranty of accessories for OLED screens and OLED TVs, motor products, and motor components with an expected output of about 500,000 products/year. The company's leaders said that to operate the factory at full design capacity, the company needs to recruit 2,500 workers with technical skills in electricity and electronics. Currently, Thai Binh's human resources are abundant, but the number of workers meeting the company's job requirements is limited, so recruitment is facing some difficulties.
Not only Ohsung Vina Thai Binh Co., Ltd., but also other enterprises investing in Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park, which are investing in building factories, installing machinery and preparing necessary conditions to start production, are all concerned about recruiting trained and high-quality workers in accordance with the production industry.
Ms. Luong Huong Giang, Deputy General Director of An Thai Auto Mechanical Co., Ltd., Director of the auto equipment factory in Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park, said: Our factory specializes in producing auto spark plugs with an expected output of 47,100 products/year and urea for treating auto exhaust gas and auto coolant with an expected production output of 90,000 cans/year, equivalent to 2 million liters/year. In the near future, the factory will officially start production in phase 1 of the project. The factory uses mostly machinery and automation technology, so it does not need much labor. However, to operate the project effectively, we currently need to recruit a number of senior managers and engineers, workers with college and intermediate degrees specializing in CNC technology and automation.
Ohsung Vina Thai Binh factory is about to complete the entire project, requiring about 2,500 workers for production.
Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park is promoting investment attraction and currently has 25 secondary projects that have been and are preparing to go into production and business operations.
Mr. Nguyen Tran Phong, Deputy General Director of Green i-Park Joint Stock Company - the infrastructure investor of Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park, said: According to the registration of secondary projects invested in Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park, the demand for labor recruitment is about 40,000 workers. Particularly, 5 enterprises that have completed factory investment and put into operation, the demand for labor is about 27,000 people, mainly trained workers and high-quality workers in the fields of electronic production and assembly, mechanical engineering, information technology, logistics, administration, English, Korean, Chinese and fashion garment. To support enterprises to soon deploy production and promote investment efficiency, we proactively connect secondary investors with the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, vocational training institutions inside and outside the province to provide high-quality human resources. In particular, Green i-Park is willing to cooperate with vocational training facilities to invest in building and expanding training facilities right in the Industrial Park. Investing in machinery and equipment for practice facilities or coordinating with production units in the Industrial Park to train theory combined with direct professional practice on modern production lines of the enterprise will improve the qualifications and ability to adapt to work immediately for workers.
In recent years, Thai Binh province has flexibly implemented vocational training activities, connecting labor supply and demand for businesses and workers, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development, especially the development of economic zones and industrial parks.
Mr. Phi Ngoc Thanh, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, said: In addition to promoting the training system in the province including 2 universities, 4 colleges and 23 vocational schools, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has surveyed the training capacity of a number of high-quality vocational training institutions in the Northern region to select training cooperation and labor supply according to the needs of enterprises. Recently, we have connected Hanoi Industrial Vocational College with a number of enterprises in Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park to sign a cooperation agreement on training and recruiting high-quality workers. From this first model, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs will summarize, draw experience and replicate it to proactively provide trained human resources for enterprises in Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park in particular, industrial parks and industrial clusters in the province in general in the following years.
Good Way Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. is speeding up the construction progress of the factory, striving to start production in early 2025.
