Mining land rewards coaches and athletes with achievements at SEA Games 32

On May 25, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to honor Quang Ninh coaches and athletes who achieved high results at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in 2023.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, awarded certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee to coaches and athletes.

Quang Ninh province has 4 coaches and 14 athletes participating in the Vietnamese sports delegation attending the 32nd SEA Games and competing in 6 sports: women's football, women's volleyball, swimming, stick fighting, chess and sports dancing. Through the competition, Quang Ninh coaches and athletes successfully completed their tasks at the 32nd SEA Games with 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.

This is the best achievement of Quang Ninh sports through the SEA Games, beyond the expectations of fans of the mining land and the goal assigned before leaving for the 32nd SEA Games.

At the meeting, the coaches and athletes expressed their joy and emotion at the attention that the leaders of Quang Ninh province have given them over the past time.

The success that Quang Ninh has contributed to the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 32nd SEA Games shows the worthy and worthy investment of Quang Ninh province. At the meeting, congratulating and rewarding the athletes and coaches who participated in the 32nd SEA Games with high achievements, Quang Ninh province and Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group awarded 18 coaches and athletes with the highest bonus currently applied as a country. The total amount of bonus awarded was nearly 1 billion 380 million VND.

Each athlete who wins a gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games will be awarded 90 million VND; silver medalists will be awarded 50 million VND and bronze medalists will be awarded 40 million VND. Athletes directly involved in the national team will be awarded 90-140 million VND, and coaches at the relevant base will be awarded 16-36 million VND.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Labor Federation, and the Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union also presented certificates of merit to coaches and athletes who achieved success at the 32nd SEA Games. Thereby, continuing to affirm the respect for the talents who have contributed to Quang Ninh province.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ninh province congratulated and praised the high achievements of Quang Ninh coaches and athletes contributing to the Vietnam Sports Delegation at the 32nd SEA Games, bringing glory and pride to the people of the whole country and the mining land of Quang Ninh.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky assigned the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to continue advising the province on solutions to make key sports more breakthroughs and mass sports more extensive; strengthen training and fostering of the next generation of young athletes, focusing on key sports in which Quang Ninh province has a good foundation; create better conditions in terms of facilities for coaches and athletes to be trained more comprehensively in both training and culture; attract young sports talents from other localities to Quang Ninh.
