Introducing tea culture at the World Culture Festival.

In just three days of the weekend, about one million visitors came to Thang Long Imperial Citadel to participate in the activities of the World Cultural Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People's Committee. Visitors lived in a colorful festival atmosphere, through the introduction of cultures from Asia to Europe, America... with a series of exchange activities, art performances and unique cultural exhibitions.

Standing out in the festival space is the culinary area, which has the most visitors. The booths with the characteristics of each country are arranged next to each other, creating a "culinary street" that makes visitors feel like they are lost in a journey of discovering "cross-border" taste buds. Each booth is not only a place to enjoy food, but also a space for cultural performances, where artisans introduce the processing methods, the story of the origin and the creative spirit in each dish. In that space, Hanoi cuisine becomes the highlight, a place to honor the traditional culinary values of the thousand-year-old capital.

The food stalls are designed in an ancient style, recalling a part of the memory of elegant Hanoi. One of the most attractive spaces is Bat Trang cuisine with dishes that have just been listed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Not only introducing the most special dishes of Bat Trang such as: Bamboo shoot and squid soup, stir-fried kohlrabi with squid, fried spring rolls, sweet sticky rice, etc., artisans from the ancient village of Bat Trang also introduce all the ingredients to make the dishes, giving visitors interesting experiences in the traditional culinary space.

For a long time, green rice has not only been a gift of Hanoians but also a symbol of elegance in Thang Long culture, especially in autumn - the most typical season of Hanoi. The representative of the brand Com Van (Me Tri craft village) said that the green rice craft in Me Tri has been recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The artisans are very proud to bring their hometown products to the World Cultural Festival and hope that through the festival, international friends will understand and love the traditional green rice craft more. Along with the elegance of green rice is Tay Ho lotus tea, which is characterized by sophistication in processing as well as enjoyment.

Mr. Le Duc Manh (a tourist from Thanh Hoa) said: “I visited Thang Long Imperial Citadel on the occasion of the World Cultural Festival. I could not believe that I could enjoy so many dishes in one session. I bought some Hanoi products as gifts for my family.”

In addition to Bat Trang dishes, green rice, lotus tea, Hanoi's culinary space is also attractive with dishes: Thanh Tri rice rolls, Phu Thuong sticky rice, Uoc Le sausage, Van Dinh grilled duck... Each dish is a story about the culture and lifestyle of Hanoi people, each arrangement tells a story about the lifestyle and thinking of Hanoi people past and present. Hanoi cuisine is already famous. Through the Festival, Hanoi dishes once again affirm their name on the national and world culinary map, thereby contributing to promoting tourism in particular, creating momentum for the development of the cultural industry in general.
