Production of seedlings and ornamental flowers develops strongly associated with the formation of cooperatives, cooperative groups, and input-output linkages.
Accordingly, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the agricultural sector has been invested and developed quite comprehensively associated with the development of agricultural product value chains. Up to now, there are 89 cooperative groups (THT), 82 cooperatives (HTX), 4 linked groups participating in the value chain of key agricultural products such as: coconut chain, green-skin pomelo chain, rambutan chain, longan chain, durian chain, mango chain, seedling - ornamental flower chain, shrimp chain, pig chain, cow chain. Agricultural production activities are gradually shifting from small-scale, fragmented production to horizontal - vertical linkage in the chain associated with production according to clean and safe standards, building geographical certification, product branding, traceability...
Currently, the whole province has 26,905.7 hectares of crop production area according to organic standards, GAP and equivalent. Up to now, the whole province has 32 domestic growing area codes with a total area of 814.75 hectares; 206 export growing areas are granted 349 codes with an area of 9,613.07 hectares, 34 packing facility codes are granted to 16 enterprises exporting to the markets of the United States, New Zealand, Europe, China, Thailand... Fruit trees are converted towards specialized cultivation, specialty trees with high economic value for export; the value chains of green-skin pomelo, rambutan, seedlings - ornamental flowers... are strongly developed in association with the formation of cooperatives, cooperative groups, and input-output linkages.

At the same time, the provincial Department of Agriculture has selected 112 mother trees, 769 mother tree gardens and 31 mother coconut gardens, with a total of 3,315 trees; 14 mangosteen gardens with 1,003 trees; 3 mother plum gardens with 472 trees. Cho Lach Seedling and Ornamental Plants Center has been established, and to date has selected 159 mother trees and 940 mother tree gardens, reaching 75% of the seedlings originating from the parent tree gardens recognized as qualified and meeting quality requirements.
Marine economic development has achieved positive results, high-tech shrimp farming is increasingly developing. It is estimated that by the end of 2025, the high-tech shrimp farming area will reach 4,100 hectares, reaching 102.5% of the plan. Granting registration codes for key subjects to 2,382 establishments/2,785 hectares, contributing to tracing the origin of shrimp products; at the same time, operating and updating data into the software "Map4D GIS Platform application for digitizing and managing high-tech shrimp farming in Ben Tre province".
In addition, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the agricultural sector also recorded a number of difficulties and challenges such as saltwater intrusion in the first months of 2021 and the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic; a number of diseases on crops and livestock, especially the black-headed coconut worm.
