Proposal to prosecute Youtuber Vo Minh Dien for causing disorder

Previously, in February 2023, the Investigation Police Agency of Binh Tan District Police prosecuted Vo Minh Dien (37 years old, from Bac Lieu , residing in Binh Tan District) for the above crime and the crime of "Property destruction".

However, regarding the second charge, Dien did not admit to participating in the destruction of the rival group's car, claiming that they were fans, whom Dien did not know. Up to now, the police are still investigating the above subjects, to clarify and handle later.

According to the investigation, Vo Minh Dien is a Youtuber who regularly livestreams and conducts sales on this social networking platform. During the livestream, Dien had a conflict with Youtuber Ha Kim Ngan and her husband, both in Khanh Hoa.

Knowing Kim Ngan and her husband, Son "ghost face" (real name Lam Duy Bao Son, also a Youtuber) contacted Dien on February 17 to announce that he would mediate between the two sides.

At noon on February 17, Dien made an appointment with Son “devil face” and the other side to meet at Binh Thanh Street, Binh Hung Hoa B Ward, Binh Tan District to resolve the matter. When Son “devil face” arrived, he contacted Kim Ngan’s husband but he did not show up.

There was talk between Son "devil face" and Dien but there was no common voice.

Not long after returning, Dien contacted Son again, asking him to meet at another location to talk, but Son did not come.

However, that day, Dien and Kim Ngan continued to livestream on social media, cursing and challenging each other to fight.

Son "ghost face" was drinking with 3 friends when he heard that Dien was livestreaming cursing some people, including himself, so he invited a group of friends to Dien's house to settle things. 4 people went in 1 car.

When Son called, Dien stopped livestreaming and came out of the house holding a three-section hammer.

At this time, Son's group had just arrived near Dien's house when they saw a group of people waiting. Son and his friends had just gotten out of the car when this group attacked them with weapons.

Son ran away. The others were beaten and forced to get into the car and lock the doors, but the car was damaged by the violent group. During this incident, Dien was holding a three-section stick and walking around the scene of the fight.

Son's group then reported to the local police. The Criminal Police Department of Binh Tan District Police intervened and arrested Dien.

During the investigation, Dien confessed that the people who attacked Son “ghost face”’s group were fans who supported Dien’s views. When watching the livestream and learning that the parties had agreed to resolve the conflict, these people came to Dien’s defense and acted aggressively, attacking others.

Son's two friends were injured but refused to be examined.

According to the assessment, the car of Nguyen Thanh Tung (Son's friend) was damaged, with a total loss of 91.6 million VND.

Defendant Dien did not agree to compensate for the damage because he claimed that he did not destroy the property. The Investigation Police Agency is still investigating and arresting the related subjects to clarify and handle the case later.

It is known that Youtuber Vo Minh Dien has 2 previous convictions and has been administratively punished for acts of harming the health of others and acts of providing and sharing fake, untrue, distorted, slanderous information, insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, and the honor and dignity of individuals.
