On the afternoon of November 19, at An Hoi ward, the Vinh Long Provincial Appraisal Council met to discuss, evaluate and vote to recognize communes meeting new rural standards (NTM) and advanced NTM standards by 2025 for 5 communes: Tan Xuan, Trung Ngai, Trung Hiep, An Ngai Trung and Cau Ke.

At the meeting, the working group presented a summary report on the results of the dossier appraisal and field survey. As a result, the three communes of Tan Xuan, Trung Hiep, and Trung Ngai all completed 19/19 NTM criteria; the two communes of An Ngai Trung and Cau Ke achieved 19/19 criteria for advanced NTM communes. The communes' dossiers were fully prepared, in accordance with regulations; there were no outstanding debts for basic construction; and the people's satisfaction rate exceeded the requirements according to regulations.

As a result of the meeting, the Council voted and unanimously proposed the Provincial People's Committee to recognize the qualified results for all 5 communes with a 100% achievement rate.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Chau Van Hoa praised the efforts of the localities; at the same time, suggested continuing to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria, towards a modern and sustainable NTM model. The communes need to promptly complete the dossier to submit to the Provincial People's Committee and proactively develop a plan to prepare for the announcement ceremony according to regulations.
