More than 1.13 million candidates taking the 2025 high school graduation exam under the 2018 program will complete the exam with 2 elective subjects on the morning of June 27. Candidates taking the old program will also take the foreign language exam this afternoon.
For English, the total number of candidates studying the 2018 program registering for this exam is about 353,000, ranking third after the number of candidates choosing to take history and geography exams.
The number of candidates choosing English is not high, partly due to the sharp increase in the number of candidates possessing foreign language certificates. The new regulations allow universities to convert foreign language certificate scores into English test scores in the admission combination.
This year, each elective subject has 48 exam codes, divided equally into 2 time slots. Thus, English will have 48 exam codes, in multiple choice format.
With the level of difficulty as illustrated by the Ministry of Education and Training , teachers believe that candidates will find it difficult to achieve maximum score in this exam.
