Proposal to test the TBR125 rice variety in the summer-autumn season.

QTO - On the afternoon of April 29th, at Bich La Cooperative, Trieu Phong commune, the Provincial Agricultural Seed Center, in coordination with ThaiBinhSeed Group Joint Stock Company - North Central Branch, organized a field workshop on the demonstration model of the pure rice variety TBR125.

The model was implemented at Bich La Cooperative on an area of ​​0.5 hectares. The rice variety TBR125 was used. This is a proprietary pure rice variety of ThaiBinhSeed Group Joint Stock Company.

This rice variety has a growing season of 110-115 days in the winter-spring crop, a plant height of 101-113cm, an attractive shape, and strong stems; bright yellow grains; good resistance to pests and diseases such as blast, bacterial leaf blight, and brown planthopper; and soft, white rice with a rich flavor. Results from the model show that the TBR125 rice variety has the advantages of beautiful leaves, strong stems, good lodging resistance; long panicles, and densely packed grains. Estimated yield is approximately 3.4 quintals/sao, equivalent to 6.8 tons/ha. It is suitable for cultivation on the cooperative's land.

At the workshop, delegates suggested that the Provincial Agricultural Seed Center and ThaiBinhSeed Group Joint Stock Company continue to cooperate with localities to conduct trial production of the TBR125 rice variety in the summer-autumn season to determine its yield potential, quality, and suitability. They also proposed developing a production linkage plan, providing support from seed and material supply, technical guidance, to guaranteed output. This would gradually lead to the formation of large-scale rice production areas to serve both domestic and export markets, contributing to increasing the value of rice.
