The discarded lipsticks still had their labels and boxes intact, showing no signs of having been used, lying scattered across the landfill.

Many passersby stopped to take pictures, share them on social networks, and even "collect" them to take home.

According to Tuoi Tre Online , the lipsticks belong to many different brands, notably Black Rouge - a cosmetic brand from Korea, quite popular with young Vietnamese consumers.

The fact that brand new, unopened lipsticks are thrown away makes the public question the origin and real purpose of this.

A resident living near the area said that the same morning many people gathered at the landfill area to see and take the products home.

In the afternoon, after seeing information shared on social networks about the "lipstick dump", some people came to search. However, the products had been picked up by the people, leaving only a few bars scattered, hidden in the garbage.

The origin and reason for the discarded lipstick are currently unknown.

Many people are concerned that these may be counterfeit, fake or expired goods that were discarded to hide evidence. Many people suspect that the incident is related to illegal destruction of goods, or intentional discharge into the environment to avoid legal responsibility.

Recently, in many localities, authorities have also recorded cases of products such as functional foods, medicines, bird's nests, fish sauce, etc. being illegally dumped in vacant lots, along roadsides, and even in residential areas.

Destroying goods improperly not only pollutes the environment, but can also result in counterfeit or poor quality goods being "discarded" before being inspected by authorities.
