The 27-year-old man admitted to the doctor that he wanted to create pleasure and a strange feeling so he put a ring on his penis, which almost led to necrosis.

On the afternoon of March 9, Hoan My Cuu Long Hospital, Can Tho City, announced that doctors from the Department of Nephrology had successfully treated a young man who wore a ring on his penis, which was at risk of necrosis.

A 27-year-old man in Can Tho was taken to the emergency room by his family with a swollen, bruised penis and bleeding at the base of his penis due to wearing a ring.

Upon admission to the hospital, the patient was conscious, vital signs were stable, and complained of severe pain in the penis. Doctors diagnosed the patient with a foreign body ring causing penile constriction. The doctor performed preoperative tests and ordered emergency surgery for the patient.

According to the doctor, the patient was lucky because the wound was not necrotic, so the genitals were still preserved. After surgery, the patient's condition gradually stabilized, the penis pain subsided, he could urinate normally, and the doctor allowed him to be discharged.
